    "These are excellent cookies! Not exactly Christie Cookies but very good anyway. I split the recipe and made half chocolate chip and half oatmeal. I will definitely try the white chocolate version and maybe try putting Peanut butter chips in the chocolate chip cookies."

    "This cake was ok. I like the dark chocolate, but it was a little dry. I think that using half shortening and half butter would have helped. I also think that using the instant coffee in the cake would have given more flavor to the cake itself. The icing was good, had a nice coffee flavor with the chocolate."

    "This is the second cake of Ina's that I have made. The first was ok, not great, but this one is awful. I was extra-careful to measure everything perfectly. The layers rose far above the sides of the pans and they were too brown by the time the layers were done. The icing has too much butter or not enough powdered sugar but did not want to stic ..."
