"I love this shortbread -- and so does my family -- every Christmas I bring a batch of this along with me and they're gone in a flash. One thing I do that makes it easier is make the dough into a log before refrigerating -- then I just slice off the cookies and sprinkle with coloured sugar -- perfect every time! "This was nicely received by my family and I found the recipe very easy -- no pecans but I toasted some pine nuts which tasted great. I skipped the frosting and just used powdered sugar -- also, I used a 10" springform, so cooking time was 60 mins but I reduced heat to 325F after first 30 mins.
