"This is the second year I have used this recipe. I substituted butter for the shortening, other than that I followed the recipe exactly. "This was really good. I substituted one pound of whole grain penne pasta. I added 1/2 medium chopped onion and one whole chopped red bell pepper and a total of three cloves of garlic to the oil. Then I added the cherry tomatoes and the spinich. I also added 1/2 cup more of cheese. Family loved it. "
