    "This is a good recipe, sweet enough that you don't really need syrup, although we couldn't convince our young kids of that!Our only complaint is that the batter is so STIFF when mixed according to directions.     "Still a little too salty for my tatse. But I've been spoiled by our local teriyaki take-out joint, which has the sweetest sauce EVER.We doctored the recipe by adding another 2 Tbsp brown sugar and 2 Tbsp honey.
