"Scrumptious! Both the kiddies wanted seconds...then thirds! My husband is the clam chowder buff in the house and said it was great. I had bacon drippings but no bacon and it worked well. Instead of plain salt I used celery salt, and I might add some chopped celery in with the onions next time too. Oh, and instead of half and half, I subbed m..."

"What a lovely pie, light and delicious! I didn't have any chocolate sauce/syrup but compensated by combining a recipe with this one. The result was increasing the milk by one cup, the sugar by one cup, the vanilla by one tsp and adding 2/3 cup cocoa powder in the initial combination in the saucepan. It worked perfectly, and this way I can contr..."

"I tweaked this one, naturally....and the whole family loved the results! I reduced the sugar by 1/4 c, subbed ground flax/water for one egg, and used olive oil subbing butter for half of it. They didn't have the flaky shiny top, but they were dense and moist and the perfect combination of fudgey and cakey. Thanks!!!"

"Didn't have any stock/broth, so I used all water and added salt, white pepper, marjoram, rosemary, thyme, paprika, celery salt and hot sauce...after pureeing, I threw in some corn and chicken and it was deliciously thick and tasty!"

"Awesome all the way around....flavor, heaviness, crispiness, ease... and I even reduced the sugar! Love 'em, and will be making them VERY often."

"Tweaked a bit, but love the no oats alternative! reduced the sugar/lemon juice in the filling, subbed half oat flour and half white whole wheat flour in the topping, omitted the lemon rind and used 4 Tbsp. butter with roughly one Tbsp. olive oil. Also subbed almonds for the pecans...ooh, and I threw some peanut butter chips on and baked somewhere..."

"Excellent chili...first time I've made a chili using chunks of meat instead of ground! I used a 2 lb. roast, half a large onion and reduced the spices by 1/3. In place of the bouillon I just threw in one packet of ramen noodle seasoning. I kept the tomato sauce the same, and subbed chicken broth for half the water used--which lacked covering i..."

"These were excellent! I used just over 1/2 a cup of rolled oats and I subbed truvia for the sugar. We topped these golden gems with a peanut butter syrup and they were SO delish!"

"Pret-ty tasty indeed! I do plan on making them with the coconut next time, but this initial use I halved the binder mixture (substituting fructose for the sugar and used 2 cups of oats. I also didn't have vanilla so I threw in some cinnamon for a flavor boost. The ratio of liquid to oats was perfect this way, and the cinnamon lent a nice touch..."

"I scaled it down to just over 2 pounds of fresh cherries (around 6 cups halved/pitted. I reduced the sugar by 1/3, subbed vanilla for the almond and cornstarch for the tapioca. I agree with omitting the food coloring...even though I used raw sugar making the sauce look like caramel at first, after the cherries cooked it was a beautiful dark red..."
