"This is a fantastic sauce, I have made this for years with the exception that we use garlic in our sauce and don't use bay leaves. We call it Cinnamon Spagetti, may next time use the bay leaves to see if we like it even better. Thanks for posting,It warms the heart to see a recipe that so closely mimics your own."

"I was pressed for time, had 2 leftover chicken breasts and in the mood for soup. This was fantastic! I added a can of diced tomatoes and topped the soup upon serving with some tortilla strips and a pinch of cheese. If you love homemade salsa you will love this hot variation of it.
