"Cheap. Easy. YUM. Just put three dots of butter on top of raw mix, cut sugar back to half a cup and threw in a handful of sultanas. Turned off while runny but rice cooked and let thicken. So simple. So delicious. My favourite ever recipe for my slow cooker."

"This icing was exactly what I was looking for. I made a half batch in green peppermint, and then another half batch, but this time I added some cocoa, and upped the milk and syrup until it was the same consistency the green batch was. I am happy with the outcome. Have not made biscuit icing before, but this seems to be great."

"I won't put stars because I had to use golden syrup (no molasses and copha instead of shortening (supposed to be okay to sub but I am not too sure. Also, my egg was a double yoker so that may have increased the liquidity. The taste was awesome, spicy, sweet, but ours are chewy and quite flat. I suspect just a bit less shortening and a normal ..."

"Yum. Used the same mix as Galley Devil. I didn't knead for more than a minute the first time, as the flours here don't require it (breadmaking flours and it rose beautifully after 90 mins or so. Knocked it down, rolled it out and again only kneaded for half a minute or so, folded and put in the loaf tin. Dusted with flour, lay a plastic bag o..."

"Due to Fijian limitations couldn't follow precisely, but it was great anyway. Used green lentils, chicken stock and 500g bacon shortcuts trimmed to slivers. Skipped the leek, subbed onion salt for onions just cos I felt too tired to deal with an onion! Skipped the ham hocks, I figured the bacon would be enough for us, as I wanted to keep the fa..."

"Delicious, easy, quick. Had an electrician pulling apart my stove tonight so this was the quick dinner solution. Just headed the mixture on hotdog buns in the microwave, very simple but it went over really well."

"I used buttered flattened bread slices pre-baked as a crust, and subbed broccoli for spinach. Pulled back on the cheese to just a cup. Other than that, the same. 180C for 30 mins. Tasty, quick, easy. Thanks DJB."

"MADE FOUR TIMES IN THREE WEEKS, YUMMO! Crockpot and pork chop suey meat as it seemed very lean, and I skipped the searing step. About 3 hours for a kilo of meat did the job. Picky 14 yo son devoured it, hubby said "That is really VERY nice" as he went back for seconds. DD called it delicious. I call it easy! Served with steamed potatoes and ..."

"Yep, definitely a five star comfort casserole. I omitted the optional mushies, used milk instead of the evaporated milk, pulled back on the cheese a little and increased the tuna by half. Added some frozen mixed veggies. Topped with a couple of handfuls of breadcrumbs and a little cheese. YUM. Everyone said it was tops."
