"great recipe and so easy! i didnt have a can of onion soup so i used a can of reduced sodium consomme and added 3 tbsp of dry onion flakes - it worked wonderfully.
i would also like to underline the importance of rinsing the rice several times before you put it in the cooker - it helps prevent it from being too starchy.

"Great recipe! I agree with a previous reviewer who suggested using red pepper in place of pickles. I also like adding in a sprinkle of toasted cumin seeds -- it just adds a nice little extra "something" and reinforces the smokey/sweet light curry taste. Yum yum! :"
