"A very outstanding recipe that will become the staple when looking for a earthy rice. For my taste I would cut the thyme back a little or omit all together. Wonderful recipe... thanks for sharing"

"Outstanding is all I can say! I too clipped this from our local newspaper a couple of years ago and stuck it in my file of recipes to try. The other day while weeding through the file I came across this and thought I'd give it a whirl. My wife and I just loved it. A very unique flavor and filling with a side salad and bread to sop up the sauce as ..."

"Outstanding!
We were making a smorgasbord of fried food for dinner last night when my wife mentioned we had mushrooms in the fridge so why not fry some. So we looked up this recipe and gave it a whirl.
Followed the directions including the use of Panko and it was so good that my wife ate her portion and all the rest!

"I first found this recipe on the back label of Goya Black Beans and have used it always when black beans and rice is on the menu. A very good and simple recipe.I make the basic recipe as it is and then add in whatever feels right at the time. As one commented I add in a can of Rotel diced tomatoes at times. Always like topping with some sliced..."

"I was looking for an easy, light pasta salad for dinner. I was tiring of the usual mayo based salads. I came across this post and thought I'd give it a try. I left out the mayo and didn't have any motz cheese, but it turned out to be very appealing and just what I was looking for. Thanks for the post! Thumbs up!"

"Outstanding recipe... I have the Weight Watcher book and we made this from the recipe. Don't let the "Weight Watcher" scare you. I use a lot of weight watcher recipes for my wife and this was very enjoyable and filling. The wine sauce was outstanding... I used Merlot in place of the Port. Highly recommended!"

"Outstanding! I was looking for some different variation for tilapia and started surfing around and came across this one. My darling wife wanted something a little crispy. Recipe sounded easy and quick. I used the entire recipe to make 2 servings and added a little more oil along the way as the crusting was obsorbing the oil too quickly. I also add..."

"This turned out to be a nice use of leftover cooked ham. I've never been a real fan of ham salad but made this for my wife to go with a green salad for her lunch. There was some left over so I had it with crackers by itself for my lunch and it was very nice. Most ham salad recipes calls for pickle relish which my wife hates so when I saw this ..."

"I had never had this dish. My wife every now and then would ask to find a recipe. From the responses to this one we gave it a try. She said it was "perfect... just like what she remembered." I liked it as well. Easy to prepare in a short time. Thanks!"

"Yes indeed a very simple, easy and very delightful. The barbeque sauce we used was "Danny's Baldheaded" which we found many years ago at our local Publix Supermarket and has become our one and only sauce so far. I forgot the hot sauce but it didn't matter as the beef was very tender and on a fresh, french bread burger bun.... mmm, mmm, good stuff!..."
