"Uncle Bill, I was truly surprised at how delicious this soup was! I used split mung beans and vegetable stock, omitted the ham, and instead of frozen spinach i used a fresh unidentified green from the organic shop down the road (was it chard? i think, maybe. I couldn't find fresh chilies so threw in some chili powder at the last minute. The end r..."

"Hi TGirl, this was a nice recipe. I missed that bit about soaking for two hours... didn't seem to matter too much. Instead of raisins and almonds I added craisins, almonds, pistachio kernels and chopped dried apricots. Don't know what that does for the exchanges you have listed there, but it sure does taste great!"

"This was so delicious. Like the other reviewers I used less oil. I had no fresh ginger, so I used the ground stuff. I can only imagine how great it would be with the real stuff! Mine was also a little watery but it wasn't that big a deal. Thanks for a great recipe!"

"Great! Thanks Carol for a delicious and easy hummus recipe. I used a large can of chickpeas undrained for this recipe. I think next time I might drain a bit of the liquid out because the final result, while delicious, was a little to thin for my liking. Thanks again Carol, a keeper for sure."
