"These were excellent cookies--despite the two mistakes I made!
1 I forgot to put in the vanilla (I know, who forgets vanilla?!?.
2 I didn't have shortening, and used butter. I've not done this with an oatmeal cookie before, and discovered they are not tolerant of the change. I managed to keep them lookin..."

"An easy recipe, great flavor (love the honey/banana combination. I doubled the recipe since I had 6 bananas that needed used. "I thought the 1 T baking powder was a typo, and made these with 1 t instead. IT IS NOT A TYPO! My muffins have great flavor, but lousy texture. Will make these again--with the full amount of baking powder--so that I can share the result with friends!"

"Made these for a pot luck today. Easy to put together--used fresh beans and canned diced tomatoes with minced garlic and a sprig of fresh rosemary in the crockpot. Wish I hadn't drained the tomatoes as much as I did because I ended up adding water to the crock twice as they cooked. Very tasty and seemed to go over well with the crowd."

"I made these with pecans instead of walnuts and fresh nutmeg instead of cinnamon. I also did not use splenda & ran out of whole wheat flour so used a little white flour to get to 2 cups. The texture is beautiful, and they are soooo tasty! However, I made them as mini muffins, and despite fiddling around with oven temp & time, I couldn't get them t..."
