"Wow, that was easy! I used my cast iron skillet and melted butter instead of oil. So tasty!"

"Yep, these are the muffins Mama used to make. Changes due to what I had available: melted butter instead of oil, Fiber One cereal instead of brand mentioned, vinegar and milk instead of buttermilk, and white whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour. I added blueberries to the second half of the batter. Awesome delicious either way. Next b..."

"We live on Oahu and have made this bread quite a few times. Coconut are free! I use the food processor to chop the coconut fine. I have also updated the recipe to make it a wee bit healthier - white whole wheat flour and subbing Splenda for half the sugar. I also add a teaspoon of vanilla and a 1/2 teaspoon of salt. This is my go-to "welcome ..."

"This is my happiness food. I use the large tapioca from the Asian section of the market. This "softens" faster, so I just soak it in the milk/cream for a half hour in the crock pot and skip the water soaking altogether. Also, I always double the recipe, use skim milk, half and half, and vanilla (instead of lemon. So much easier and foo ..."

"Super yummy! I don't bother with the butter, but the sauce is a "must make." After trying the recipe once, the second time I made a super-sized batch so I could freeze most of them. They are the perfect kid dinner after sports practice - right from the freezer to the toaster oven to happy kid's tummies!"

"This recipe will make you look like a superstar! I used lime instead of lemon and plain yogurt instead of sour cream because that is what I had on hand. My husband caught some Popio (local Hawaiian white fish that we used. Less than 24 hours from ocean to tummy. :D"

"We made this for this first time for a tailgate party at University of Hawaii (Go Warriors!!. We rolled the spread up in tortillas and made bite-sized pinwheels for easy eating/transport. They were a HUGE hit. They tasted great with a cold beer and good friends. Aloha!"

"I feel a little silly rating this because I don't actually include the beef. I make this for my vegetarian daughter who loves broccoli. The sauce is a total winner, and she asks me to fix it at least once a week and then takes leftovers with rice for her school lunch."

"I halved the recipe because I knew we couldn't be trusted with it in the house. What an easy dessert to enjoy while the kids finish homework. I'm not really a cook, but I'm trying to move away from packaged, expensive snacks and treats. This is a winner!"

"So simple, so yummy. I've made it countless times. I usually serve it with shredded cabbage, carrots, and chow mein noodles. Add chicken, and you have a meal. For me, it's perfect as written."
