"A nice hearty soup. I contemplated a simpler version without the tomatoes, red wine and kale. I also pureed some of the beans and broth to give it a thicker texture."

"This was flavorful indeed. I doubled the garlic, and I also doubled the broth... my yellow lentils were quite thirsty, though that might have been because I forgot the lid the first 20 minutes. I also pureed the soup in a food processor before serving. My family liked it."

After that, my family pronounced it good. This was on a night when my cauliflower-averse partner was on a busines t..."

"Very tasty. My one issue with it was that it was hard to tell when the cobbler was done... it's so moist that the usual stick-fork-in-and-see-if-dry method doesn't apply, and by the time I was sure it was done, some of it had burnt. Guess next time I'll know to remove it at 35 min, not 40."
