    Reviewed Split Pea Spread
    Handle
     |  By Briar Rose

"fabulous idea....and very tasty! The only thing that I did differently than your recipe was to add the juice of half a lemon after the pea spread was cooked. It really brightened up the flavor of the peas."

"When I made these I left out the 1/2 cup of sugar and used chocolate chips instead of the M&Ms. I also chilled the dough and rolled them into 1" balls, reducing the bake time to 8 minutes. Fantastic cookies!! By far the best oatmeal cookie that I've ever eaten!! Thanks for my new favorite cookie recipe."

"Fantastic salad and easily adapted to what you have on hand. I added a few cherry tomatoes and grapes. Didn't have feta so I subbed it with some fresh grated Parmesan. Since I had no feta cheese I added a little Cavenders Greek seasoning to the dressing. We found the dressing exceptional! It really made this salad something special. Thanks for a g..."

"I didn't have time to make this in the crockpot, so I made it on the stove top. Because of that I added more liquid. I used 1 cup of dry white wine and 1 cup of chicken broth. I cut back the beans to one can. Making it on the stove top took just over an hour. I used baked tostitos for the chips and Kraft Free cheddar cheese. It was a nice thick ch..."

     |  By Karen=^..^=

"Made this as a quick dinner last night. Used fresh tortellini instead of the dried. Didn't refrigerate for 2 hours before I served it. I thought the flavors were balanced and very fresh tasting without the fridge time. Also sliced up a few grilled chicken breasts to serve on top. The cold salad/hot chicken combo was fantastic."
