Reviewed Nuevo Chipotle Beef in Butternut Squash Boats (Nuevo Latino Beef Dishes
     |  By Brinestone

"I have now made this about eight times, and each time we love it. My grandparents are requesting it for the third time in three visits.

That said, I have not yet tried it with the squash boats. I have served it over rice, which was fine. Over time I've transitioned to serving it burrito-style with seasoned rice, black beans, and all the toppi ..."

    Handle
     |  By Potluck

"This is my Amelia Bedelia recipe. You know, the one that makes people forgive multitudes of your shortcomings? Yeah, I teach piano, and I always serve lime bars at recitals. I didn't intend for it to be that way, but I got so many requests it became tradition. Sometimes I wonder if parents are keeping their students with me so they can get their s..."

Reviewed Breakfast Skillet Recipe courtesy Sunny Anderson, 2009
     |  By Brinestone

"I followed the directions exactly, except that I added green pepper as I saw Sunny do in the episode, and I didn't have any rosemary. I chopped the potatoes small so they'd cook through, but they didn't. Meanwhile, the ground beef was overcooked and crunchy because I wasn't stirring it, as directed. The eggs cooked in about 8 minutes, not the sugg ..."

     |  By Maias2Papayas

"Just what I wanted. I left out the egg because I don't care for egg in burgers, and I served it on a bun with a slice of pineapple, some purple onion, and some raw spinach. Very tasty."

    Reviewed Danish Aebelskiver
    Handle
     |  By Spud Nut

"My usual recipe for aebelskivers is from the Make-a-Mix cookbook, which is out of print. It has you make pancake mix (with powdered buttermilk and then add the wet ingredients. I was out of buttermilk powder, so I used this one, and it's just not anywhere near as good. For one, it doesn't call for salt, which was badly needed. For two, it didn't ..."

    Reviewed Lemon Jello Salad
    Handle
     |  By Nutmeg74

"It's a jell-o salad, so obviously not gourmet. I used one lemon pudding mix and one vanilla, just to mix things up a bit, and omitted the marshmallows. I couldn't tell from the recipe whether the pudding mix should be added dry or prepared. I did dry, and it ended up with a slightly grainy, sugary texture. Pretty tasty, though."

"For those in the US, here are the conversions:3 small cans tuna (do they sell big ones?1/2 c dried breadcrumbsI personally halved the recipe, using 1 can tuna and half a sweet potato. They turned out great. I really wished I'd made fries with it, though."

    Reviewed Chili Lime Chicken

     |  By Ruth Tisdale

"My husband loved it, and I thought it was pretty good too. I did add salt, and I used a little less lime than was called for. If you do a half teaspoon per side as instructed, you end up with quite a bit of extra spice mixture for next time."

"Very tasty, and pretty easy to make. I will definitely make it again, though I might tone down the spiciness a bit. Who knew thyme and sweet potatoes were such a winning combination?"
