"I had a big chicken. The first night we snacked on some of the chicken, rice and veggies. Then, I took another reviewer's suggestion and made overnight broth with the bones and extra veggies. I've made cxn soup many ways but this had to be the most flavor-filled broth I've ever made. It was not even necessary to enhance flavor with chemical laden ..."

"I agree it worked out well. I thought it was quite tasty. Kids weren't a fan (but thats nothing new. We don't usually make casseroles because they tend to be a little bit higher caloric. I like the idea of using lighter ingredients."

"Love this recipe. Thanks for uploading it as its easier to look on Food.com instead of getting out my old Cooking Light cook books. Only thing different that I do is that I use chicken stock. Also, I didn't have apple juice the last time so I just used canned pear juice."

"Excellent and so easy. I remember eating pot roast as a child but my mother was never specific on a recipe. My kids aren't big fans of bbq so I fed them their portion before adding the bbq and it was delicious and of course not spicy. Some how, though, I accidentally managed to dry it out."

"A friend sent this recipe to me from pinterest as well. Said her whole family (a.k.a. kids ate the roast so I tried it. Was great. Even my husband had some and he's a crock pot snob (wink. Only change is that I used 3 lbs of thick pork chops (from pork loin. I also drained the liquid before adding glaze. Thanks for taking the time to post."

"I've been making your recipe for years and realized I never rated it. The kids LOVE this and for most of the time, they think my sliced cabbage are noodles. Ha. It has a mild flavor, also great for kids. AND its wheat free, gluten free. Yeehaw."

"I agree with the other reviewers. It is a great recipe and I can't stand using anything Lipton when pulling most of these ingredients together on the fly is easy. It reminded me of the way my mom would have made it when I was younger 30 some years ago. I added potatoes and carrots and regular celery. I left out the nutmeg and added rosemary. What ..."

"EASY TO ASSEMBLE. Tasty. Really didn't think the mushroom soup would mix well with Mex flav burritos but its very good. Great casserole to freeze and take to someone in need. Also tastes great with low fat mushroom soup and low fat ground turkey breast. Only thing...my little kids claimed they didn't like it....note however, they are not big fans ..."

"I like this basic recipe. I would have added some additional seasonings..not sure what yet. It seemed like the prep time took longer than specified though (of course we deboned a whole chicken and then mistakenly purchased the wrong pie crust at the store and had to make a homemade pie crust. All in all, pretty good : Thanks for the recipe :"

"Great Kids Cake and/or for those who don't like CAKE! I expected it to be like Toll House Pan Cookies but the Powder or the Tarter (? made it really fluffy. Fun. Kids LOVED it."
