"I substituted dextrose for the white sugar (use 1 1/4 times as much) and heavy cream in place of half and half. It was moist and just sweet enough. I made it in two square pans, and put the topping on top only, but poked at it with a knife to blend some of into the cake. Can't stop eating it!"

    LinMarie says:

"I used frozen blueberries, defrosted and drained well. Stirred in carefully, the dough turned a little purple in spots, but after baking nice and brown, they looked fine. I had to bake them longer, so they were thouroughly set in the middle. Slid the parchment, cookies and all off the sheet onto cooling rack and let sit awhile before attempting ..."

    LinMarie says:

"I used a silicone mold of the proper size and reduced the sugar to 1 1/2 c. The batter did fill the pan to about an inch from the top, it did rise, but not even to the rim and it fell a bit, but I baked it an hour even though I used a convection oven. It was very moist, not cakey at all. More like a fudgy brownie. The chips, although dusted with ..."

"I used two chuck steaks about 1 lb each. Next time I would reduce the water for thicker gravy, but it was terrific. I used to use onion soup, but this is healthier and cheaper and tastes better."

"I use a bag of Mexican flavored cheese, already shredded and a few Jalepeno peppers from a jar instead of seasonings, onions and peppers. Everybody loves this one. We serve with Tortilla chips. Got the recipe from my friend from a cookbook she owns."

    LinMarie says:

"I had about 9 banana muffins that I made forgetting to put in egg, so they collapsed and were a little blah tasting. I cubed them and dried in the preheating oven. I didn't have any half-and half, just a splash of whipping cream. I also had no more bananas! I made a half recipe of the custard (2 eggs, 1 1/2 c. milk, etc.) Despite all these chan..."
