"This "cake" was so disgustingly and grotesquely sweet, I ate a small piece and pitched the rest. Yuck, and triple Yuck !! Additionally the cake part was very dense. (Looked pretty but GAG !). If your sweet tooth is THAT bad, save your time and just eat brown sugar straight from the box."
"The time/temp. combination seemed WILDLY off. When I cooked this the top was dry and developed a big crack, the center was clean to testing, and after cooling, over 90% of the cake part was wet, soggy, and tasted of uncooked flour."
"This recipe is WILDLY OVER RATED.It's beyond simple to make but tastes like any garden variety stewed chicken. Nothing to write home about here. Might be a way to cook chicken while you prepare a much more interesting sauce."
"Made this for Xmas dinner. Was TOTALLY awesome ! Used 60% cocoa-chocolate since my whippet snagged the semisweet chocolate off the counter. Suspect it made it even better."
"Cherries were out of seaon so I tred this using a mixture of frozen & canned cherries. Even drained and with juice pressed out it was a soggy mess. ONLY USE FRESH CHERRIES!!"
"Don't make this without a trial run. Cooked this in the oven an extra 5 min. since the shrimp weren't done. Some of the arborio rice came out overcooked and mushy, while some was undercooked and chalky. Next time I'll make it entirely on the stove so it can be stirred frequently and tested."
"Had this with milk instead of yogurt. Doesn't taste terribly different from garden-variety oatmeal, though the texture was a nice change. Not sure it's worth the time."
