"I loved this soup. It was full of flavor and will definately be my split pea soup recipe. The only thing I changed was the cooking method. Instead of a crop pot, I cooked it in a pot, first bringing everything to a full boil then I reduced the temperature to med-low, covered, and let simmer for just a little over two hours.
