"I have made this recipe several times now. It's easy and versatile. Last night I was being lazy and didn't separate the egg. Tasted great. A few more fat grams and calories. Oh well. Seasonings can be adjusted and changed to your taste. I like to put a little cracked pepper in the bread crumb mix and a tablespoon of lemon juice in the eg..."

"First thing that got me was the name. Fun! We liked this recipe. I did have to cook it a little longer. I have a cake tester, so no worries there. I've fooled around with the recipe a couple different ways--nuts, spices, no topping, with topping. All around good recipe. thanks!"

"This recipe is a bunch of fun! I've made chocolate chip, andes chip, reese pieces, raisins, nuts, peanuts, peanut butter (that one needs a little fooling with marshmallows (doesn't work in the bake cycle--they disintegrate and leave holes hard candies. It's nice to have a basic recipe that tastes great all by itself and then we can kick it up a ..."

"This tasted wonderful. I followed the recipe as written except for bumping up the cinnamon and ginger as previous reviewers suggested. Nice and moist. Didn't taste like sourdough at all. Mine stuck to the pan, despite greasing and flouring a pan I've used many times. I will try again and see if that happens again."

"This was great. My first attempt at shortbread. I thought it would be a complex recipe. Nope. It's easier than pie. (he he I baked this in my Pampered Chef stoneware heart molds. Parfaitment! I followed the recipe exactly. Had to increase the time slightly because the molds were a little bigger/deeper. The shortbread was just sweet enough, perfec..."

"I've made this about 7-8 times in the past couple months. Yeah, about once a week. It's great. My husband loves it. I had some beer in the fridge. I don't like beer. Took the beer out after the first batch so it would be room temp. Went out and bought some beer this past weekend. The bread is light, has a fine crumb, soft crust, really good for sa..."

"This was really good. Nice and dense, fine crumb. My breadman abm liked it just fine. I used about 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger. My bananas were very ripe. I snuck in an extra small one and didn't end up adjusting the flour at all. We loved this toasted and also with PBJ. My husband and I enjoyed it very much."

"I think this is about the best cake ever. Rich, moist, delectable. I haven't made it myself, but just finished eating a piece of this cake made by a friend and decided to find it here and save to my cookbook. It's perhaps a tad too sweet, so I might cut back on the sugar some. Wowsa, it's really great. My husband loves it, too."

"I have shied away from pie crusts. Since I dislike using pre-made or mix type products, I don't bake a lot of pies. So last weekend I didn't have the required refrigerated, premade crusts, and used this recipe. In the food processor. and have since made 2 more pies. OMG I am never buying another store bought crust again. Mix the dry ingredients i..."

     |  By Lorrie in Montreal

"These biscotti were wonderful. I pretty much followed the recipe--used a tad more almonds just because I had just a little more left but not enough for anything else. I also had some ginger I had preserved in a ginger syrup and used a little of the syrup. The biscotti were flavorful, very crispy. A winner in my household!"
