"My husband initially raved about this recipe. He said the chicken was wonderfully tender (I used cut up fresh chicken breasts. No one else in the family - including myself - would give it a try based on its aroma and the appearance of the sauce. I followed the recipe to the letter and the sauce looked like colored water. The next day my husband..."

"Easy to make and economical! The gravy turned out very nice - I used Lipton Beefy Onion soup. I served the patties with egg noodles and steamed baby carrots along with marble rye bread fresh from the bakery. Next time I'll be kicking the patties up a bit, perhaps with parsley and garlic as other reviewers have mentioned. This is nice comfort foo..."

"Nice recipe. I thought it would be more cheesy - so next time I will do 2 cans of cheddar cheese soup and one can cream of chix. I also added 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper, 1/4 tsp. white pepper and 1/4 tsp. black pepper. For the last hour I added fresh broccoli. I served it over Cavatappi pasta which has alot of nooks and crannies and holds the s..."

"Hubby gave this recipe four stars. The overpowering smell of beer while it was cooking turned the rest of us off to even trying the recipe. Therefore, I rated this a "3." Perhaps the beer I used was too full bodied - Sam Adams. Maybe a light beer would give off less of an aroma?"

"Delicious recipe! Very, very flavorful. I'd substitute red wine next time. The only thing I added was black pepper, to taste. My family didn't even notice that mushrooms were in there, otherwise they would have picked them out. Perhaps some sliced black olives might be a nice addition. I did add 1/4 cup of water as it was cooking just to be s..."

"My house smelled absolutely divine while the chicken was baking, but the taste did not live up to my expectations. The maple syrup did not carmelize, it remained watery until it sat on my plate for 5 or so minutes. The flavors did not permiate the chicken, even though I marinated it for 24 hours. Rather bland."

"The sauce was purple-brown and not very appealing. The flavor of the jam did not come through due to the overpowering nature of the other ingredients."

"Absolutely divine! I couldn't find pineapple-orange marmelade, just orange marmelade. So, on a whim I added flaked coconut instead of the pineapple - 1 1/2 tablespoons - and hoped for the best. Oh my, my! Delicious! The flavor of each ingredient melds together in a heavenly fashion. Next time I'd make Almond Rice Pilaf to accompany this dish,..."

"Very nice recipe. I pounded out the chicken first. Did not use the lime peel. I didn't have enough fresh lime juice, so I added lemon juice for 1/2 lime, 1/2 lemon. The pepper taste really comes through. I may cut down on the garlic next time. Marinated it overnight. We chose to grill the chicken it was very tender and moist. Served with w..."
