"Most large grocery's now have a speciality island with olives,peppers and pickled garlic.Since you buy by weight get the garlic and olives there.The pickled garlic is perfect for this and other recipes where you don't want the strong raw garlic flavor.I enjoyed this recipe with the addition of the olives.Thanks for posting.....Chef Jim"

"I enjoyed this very much.The fresh ginger is a must (no powderI didn't have the apple sauce but instead used apple butter.This added a new flavor and a new idea.Next time I'm adding 2tbl. of toasted pine nuts.I would try this very good recipe though to expeerience the wounderfull flavor and the little bite of fresh ginger.Oh,I did go to Wendays..."

"When I got to the Keys in 1971,I had the privilege of sitting with Tiki John quite often.This drink although taste nice and sweet is deceptivley easy drinking and should be drank with caution.I'ts too good.We used to pitch in and buy a 2 qt. glass pitcher then pass it around drinking from the pitcher.Very different.Unfortuneately they don't make..."

"This has been a favorite recipe for 35 yrs.I prefere to make my self-rising flour by using unbleached flour,1tbl.baking powder,1 tspn.salt.(3 cp.recipeA lot of the beer bread recipes do not use sugar but this is a necessary ingrent to help stave off the bitter beer.Splenda would work also....Chef Jim"
