"This is true...a no fail crust! I feel it is deserving of 5 stars even though I added a bit more flour and actually only used about a tablespoon of ice cold water. I like the combo of butter and shortening...tastes almost like the old fashioned lard pie crusts! I made it for a turkey pot pie and can't wait to make a dessert pie with this recip..."

"Definitely a keeper! I did separate the eggs and beat the egg whites, then folded them in the batter. And I added a teaspoon of cinnamon because I've always done that with banana bread. It was moist, but not heavy as some have stated - perhaps beating the egg whites made it lighter????"

"This is just for the cola icing. I was getting ready to add my college friend's mother's cola icing when I found yours here. I didn't add the nuts when I made the icing. It is really tasty...just a notch above plain chocolate icing!"

I added some chives and dry onion flakes ... as well as some diced green onion and some of the bacon bits as previous reviewers said they added. I made 5 of these and will give 4 away as Christmas gifts. To make it lighter I used reduced fat cream cheese and shredded cheese. I may ad..."

"I was thinking about posting this and saw you already did...it is truly a comfort food and real easy on the pocketbook too. I've been making it for over 40 years. However, I add fresh diced garlic as well as a few drops of Worceshire Sauce. We always have it for a quick supper."

"Thanks for sharing such a great recipe! I tried it because of the unusual milk mixture with the vinegar and brown mustard. Loved it! Your seasonings are spot on-I didn't have the cayenne pepper, but recipe tasted wonderful to my hubby and me. BTW, I baked thick catfish 375 degrees for 20 minutes, turning halfway through. This baking time, gav..."

"This recipe is a keeper! Easy and very tasty. I used bison brats and they were so yummy with all the seasonings. Thanks for a great recipe! Even my husband loved it and he doesn't dish out compliments too frequently!"

"Excellent salad...easy...quick to make! I added 1/4 c. dried chopped cranberries and subbed onion powder for the onion salt. This is a keeper for me! Thanks so much!"

"My husband liked the taste of this better than I did...next time perhaps I will use only 2 yolks. As others have done, I only used 1/2 c. sugar and it was sweet enough for us. Thanks for sharing a good recipe."
