"Birthday scones for husband/dada this morning. The whole family loved them! The combination of zest, salt, and sweetness was perfect. They were super moist. I am eager to see how they are tomorrow. Excellent recipe. I will definitely make these again! They are very tasty. The reviews that say otherwise are most likely unfamiliar with scon..."

"These are awesome! We add a half cup of chocolate chips to satisfy my chocolate cravings. We are making them today for the 3rd time. Be forewarned, I find them hard to stop eating!! Goody girl's post should be removed. Not all cookies are crunchy. The baking powder and shortening should tip you off that these are not crunchy butter cookies."

"Thanks for the great recipe. We made it today during our playgroup, and the 2-3-4 year olds approved. We paired it with Nigella's cheesy feet for a delicious and fun snack to make and eat."

"This recipe rocks! I took it to a potluck tonight, and everyone loved it. I will be making this again! I used French lentils because that is what I had on hand. I doubled the recipe but not the onion. I Used one box of stock (4 cups and a bullion + 2 cups of water for the rest. I did not find that any salt was needed. It was great! Thank ..."

"I made with one whole egg, Stoneyfield Farms Strawberry yogurt, butter, and brown rice syrup instead of brown sugar. I didn't miss the sugar with the sugar that's in the yogurt. I left out the nutmeg. These were delicious!! I figured, "why not," when I discovered I only had strawberry yogurt in the fridge. It can't turn out any worse than mix..."

"I made this with some local organic cuts of meat. My husband is a vegetarian, and I don't eat a lot of meat, and I cook it even less. I was surprised how great and easy this was to make for my first ever attempts at country fried steak. I made the gravy without the drippings and with butter so my husband could enjoy with biscuits. Yum!"

"This is a great sauce that you can make easily with spices on hand. I have made it twice now - once adding a can of diced tomatoes and once not. It is good either way. I prefer to leave out the black pepper, and I didn't have any bay leaves. Yummy!"
