"Tried this tonight as I forgot to buy detergent at the store. It seemed to work pretty well on plastic containers, plates and silverware, although, I admit that I pre-rinse my dishes, so there wasn't a lot of stuck on food. Two previous reviews of this recipe were very helpful ~ whammie and isispleiades. Whammie suggested using lemonade packets, w..."
"Fabulous! An easy and tasty meal using a pretty cheap cut of meat ~ YEAH! My two picky eaters went back for seconds ~ enough said. Will definitely make again. Paired with Recipe #12084 and that made a complete meal. Thanks for posting!"
"Excellent! Made tonight as directed (except for subbing chicken broth for beef) and added the chicken. While tasty on its own, what made the soup was the addition of the tortilla strips and cheese in the bottom of the bowl before adding the soup. Don't skip that part! It truly tasted like chicken enchiladas. Will make again. Thanks for posting!"
"I made this last night and it was a huge hit with DH and 3 kids! I used Recipe #1171 instead of the packaged taco seasoning and the flavor was fabulous. I also left off the tomatoes and olives (picky eaters wouldn't have cared for them). I used 1lb ground beef and one 15 oz can kidney beans. I substituted tortilla chips for the shells, as I was af..."
"This is a definite keeper! My DH, who has eaten more Egg Foo Yong than any Caucasian man has a right to have eaten, gave it a thumbs up : ) I followed the recipe pretty closely, other than substituting fresh vegetables. Tips that helped me: 1) I steamed the broccoli and bean sprouts and dry sauteed all the carrots and mushrooms 2) I ran all filler..."
"This is definitely a modern version of tuna salad. The crunchy vegetables are key. Served on a leaf of Boston or bibb lettuce, this is a perfect too-hot-to-cook dinner. A couple of changes I made, as did some other reviewers: omitted the onions (personal preference), added peas and corn instead of carrots (didn't have any), 1 tbsp fresh dill, 3/4 ..."
"The best kind of recipe ~ easy and delicious. I've made this three times now and it was great each time. For me, the best part of this is that the meat doesn't have to marinate forever to taste great. Each time, I marinated for between one and three hours and the meat was juicy and flavorful each time. This is my go-to recipe for chicken. Thanks f..."
"This was very tasty. I skipped the pan-frying, as others had done, and cooked at 400 for about 20 minutes. While tasty, it definitely tasted liked baked fish ~ not a bad thing ~ instead of fried fish. But, with a dab of tartar sauce and placed on a bun, my kids thought it was tasty enough. I used mahi mahi that had been in my freezer for a while. ..."
"This was egg-cellent ; ) Made these for dinner tonight and my pickiest eater ate two! Used bacon instead of ham and shredded cheddar cheese. Use a 1-cup Pyrex measuring cup ~ it was the perfect size. Will definitely make again! Thanks."
"This recipe was excellent. The flavor was fresh and tangy ~ I was surprised at the complex flavor created by the balsamic vinegar and lime juice. My husband scarfed it up and it was gone within 24 hours! We ate it with nachos, but I think this would also work really well as an accompaniment to grilled salmon. Made for PAC Spring 2010."
