"this was really good, as written. When I made it a second time, I made the following changes: I didn't peel the apples because I liked the contrast of color. I added 3 scallions for a balance of the sweetness (next time purple onion, minced very finely. Served with Ham steaks on the grill and fresh roasted asparagus. very nice. A new summer salad..."

"We loved this. I eliminated the chives and added Sambala for an Indonesian style meal- it was wonderful with fresh steamed Kale as an accompaniment, served over homemade toast."

"The first time I made this, I found it very difficult to eat. You can spread the filling on crackers, but what about all that wonderful phyllo? Second time I solved it: The mini phyllo shells are PERFECT. Easy to eat and you get the full experience in one tasty bite. You'll need 3 boxes or 45 bite sized shells."

"The combination of flavors and textures in this salad are very good. It didn't blow me out of my socks, but it was very good. I had all of the ingredients on hand and therefore made it as written. My kids liked it, as well, and that alone should be enough of a review! I will certainly make it again, but I may add some toasted pine nuts next ti..."

"My 10 year old daughter makes this cake all by herself. And she makes it over and over and over again because every time she does people RAVE about it and it is gone in a matter of hours. She bakes it in a bundt pan and sprinkles it with powdered sugar. Amazingly delicious."

"OMG! Heaven. Have you ever heard Garfield say that we should eat more fruits and vegetables and that he prefers banana bread and carrot cake? Yeah- I'll take this beautiful cake anyday. Greased and floured pan for easy removal from the pans and the frosting was ample to cover the entire cake. I think I may try this without the cinnamon all-to..."

"I love this stew. Every Fall when the weather turns, I dig it out and make it. The crockpot is a new twist to me, however. The recipe as it is given here is very heavy. I use 1 onion, 1 red pepper, 1 squash, 1/2 bunch kale, 28oz cannellini with their juices and 32oz box of vegetable stock, 3 Tbs sage and 1/4 C olives. It is intended to be STE..."
