"This was great! I used cubed steak and it was tender enough to cut with a fork. Low for 8 hours was plenty of time for my crockpot. We added a little more salt and pepper at the table but otherwise it was easy to prepare and scrumptious to eat! Great flavor! Thanks for sharing!"

"Wonderful smell in the house when this is cooking and wonderful taste in the eating! Have passed this on to my newly-wed daughter for ease of preparation and great taste. "These potatoes are the greatest! My husband couldn't stop eating them! I have made them several times now and each time I watch anxiously while hubby chows down--I am afraid there won't be any leftovers to top with sharp cheese and sour cream for the next day's lunch!!! This is a keeper! Thanks for sharing!"

"This is a great soup! I used a small can of chopped ham because I had no ham hock and added more salt and pepper to taste, 1/4 tsp of poultry seasoning, a bay leaf, and a dash of dry mustard. It is a truly filling and tasty soup. I think next time I make it I will try using twice as many navy beans as they sorta got lost. Thanks for sharing!"

"Wonderful comfort food! Good flavor and easy to prepare! Hubby orders country-style steak and gravy at a popular cafeteria but said this was as good as theirs---quite a compliment! Gravy good on rice or mashed potatoes. Thanks for sharing!"
