"I didn't have any rice krispies so I used several other random cereals I had lying around. It was a HIT at a party I took it to. People appreciated something different--sweet and crunchy and delicious! Not a "cake" though, closer to rice krispy treats. Oh and I didn't have toffee so I used butterscotch chips which was perfect."

"This is going to be my go-to stew recipe! My husband is very picky about the consistency of his stew and this one was PERFECT! I substituted 1/2 c. of broth with sherry for a bit of sweetness and it was delicious. Thanks!"

"Delicious! I actually used pork cuz it was so much cheaper but I love the good old fashioned traditional method. The advice about using enough oil was very important too--I used a combination of vegetable oil and butter. Mmmmmm!"

"This was my first time making (and eating polenta and we loved it! I actually used water instead of broth by accident (a houseguest was talking to me and apparently I can't multitask on a Sunday nite and it was still delicious. I added about a T of butter at the end of cooking and topped it with a spoonful of spicy marinara sauce. Delicious! ..."

"This was an excellent soup! I made a few changes based on people's comments: I omitted the water, as we like a thicker soup, I added 1/2 t. each curry powder, cumin, turmeric, and red pepper flakes. I garnished with fresh cilantro and it was so yummy! My husband added a bit of plain yogurt to cool it down since I also put in extra black pepper..."

"I was interested in this recipe because it didn't have flour. I made several changes--I substitutes fresh cranberries for the sultanas as well as about a tablespoon of chopped candied ginger. I added about 1/4 t. of both ground ginger and cloves. The cooking temperature and time, however, were no where's near what was needed to cook these. Afte..."

"I was excited about the healthiness of this dish but it ended up being somewhat bland. Also, the directions call for celery but the amount is not listed in the ingredients so I think I put too much in. This dish would be better with a pinch of crushed red pepper and possibly a but of brown sugar. Thanks!"

"I love these cupcakes! I have made them 3 times now for various occasions and they are always a big hit. I have made them the proper size and also as minis and they are great either way. I usually dust some powdered sugar on top for visual effect, but they are just as yummy plain. Awesome recipe!"

"I have been keeping this recipe in my "cookbook" for a long time now and I finally had the chance to make them yesterday. FANTASTIC! I made several changes: I used half brown sugar and half white sugar, sultanas instead of nuts, I added a teaspoon of maple extract, and baked it in a 9x9 pan instead of 9-13. They were moist and delicious and a big ..."
