"Fantastic! The chicken was moist and tender, with just the right amount of seasoning. I did some for the freezer, and cooked some right away. I'm sure it will be just as delicious when we have them from the freezer. It was so easy to put together too. Thanks French Tart! As always, your recipes are top notch!

"This is very close to the recipe I use. I don't use cabbage either, or the shrimp paste. Curcumae is turmeric, and it adds wonderful colour and flavour. If I'm not using a package of spice mix, I'll increase the spices to 1 teaspoon each, instead of 1/4 tsp. Fresh ginger is also very good with this. "Love it! I add fresh ground black pepper, and to cut some of the fat down a bit, try using 1/2 Tbsp each of mayo and plain yogurt, instead of just mayo. I also add just a splash of vinegar."

"I have done a similar recipe with canned lentils and no rice. You don't need to simmer it very long that way, or add very much broth. You will need about 1/2 cup to 2 cans of lentils."

"We used to do these with our kids when they were little. It was always a fun way to do the eggs. We used rubber bands and old rags, but essentially, the same method, but with a twist. We put rice, or leaves or other organic stuff between the onion skin and the eggs. It made some great patterns on the eggs. The foil sounds much easier. Thanks for ..."
