"Great recipe! The one substitution I made was to use 1/4 tsp. of almond extract in place of the vanilla (I didn't have any vanilla on hand). It really gave the cookies a nutty flavor, a nice twist on the original!"

"This recipe is awesome! It's my go-to recipe whenever I need to make something for a party or barbeque. I just make it into kabobs and put the chicken, some fresh pineapple, red and green peppers and onions onto skewers and either grill 'em up or bake them in the oven. Works our great every time."

"The taste of the cake was good, but it was unbelievable dense and heavy. Not at all like a cake, but more like banana bread (but even more dense). It took about an hour and ten minutes to bake, no problems there. Simply too heavy. Would be better if baked as a banana bread in a loaf pan. The frosting really isn't necessary, though it tasted fine."

"These muffins turned out okay, but have a slightly bitter aftertaste. It seems odd to put the entire orange, rind and all, into the food processor. It would be better to include only the zest and the fruit of the orange."

    LinMarie says:

"I made these without the coconut (not a huge fan) and they were okay. They were more cake-like than I had expected. The flavor wasn't particularly strong, either-- I might suggest adding some orange extract and maybe some orange rind. I made an orange glaze out of powdered sugar and orange juice to try to up the flavor and it did seem to help.Over..."
