"Great recipe I have made many many times. The only variation I make is to add coarsely chopped cabbage ( Grandmother always used cabbage in her veggie soup and pearl barley for the added fiber. I have also made this recipe adding left over meatloaf. A friend who makes this recipe likes to add one Tablespoon Cajun seasoning however, I have not tas ..."

"Loved this filling ! Instead of phyllo dough I used thawed frozen bread dough. I rolled it into a rectangle, spread melted butter over, spread the filling which I prepared as directed. I rolled this up pinching the seam closed. I placed the roll on a baking sheet seam side down and baked at 350 degrees. I don't recall how long I baked this, Sorry...."

"A wonderful recipe. The only thing I did different was to use chicken leg quarters for my meat as I find it not only is less expensive ( 10 # is $5.90 at Wall-mart but more flavorful than chicken breasts. I also made only 1/2 the recipe as I am a household of one. I boiled the entire 10 pounds with the veggies stated in this recipe but a lar..."

"I nade this as written the first time but it just wasn't what I enjoyed in Maine so, I then made sone changes recommended by a friend that grew up in Maine, I omited the celery and added 1/2 cup finely diced ham which I sauted in the real butter with the onion. I used canned potatoes as I have found they hold their shape better and are easier. Re..."
