"This is a REQUESTED dip now for Thanksgiving and birthday parties! Tastes fantastic on veggies, crackers, tortilla chips and also as a spread for ham sandwiches!"

"Excellent--easy & fairly quick. Saved me when thunderstorms moved in & we couldn't grill dinner! Our daughter eats gluten free due to celiac disease so I used tomato sauce instead of tomato soup. Also used 1 cup milk. May sprinkle with cheese when I make again. Both kids have asked for me to make it again...that's a GOOD sign! :o"

"I can't believe I have not posted a review of this recipe! I've made it MANY times--everyone loves it! I usually only use 1/2 pound of smoked sausage and add a little cajun seasoning, but otherwise follow the recipe. My kids, ages 4 & 5.5 now, really like this. I think it's the lively colors in the dish that entice them to eat more! Also, it's GLU..."

"OK, had to make a few adjustments but this was yummy! My adjustments were: leftover pork roast from last night--so no need to saute the pork; didn't precook celery, didn't add onion cuz of adding salsa; only had 1.5 cups of rice which was already cooked; didn't have black beans--used pinto beans and used salsa & a can of diced tomatoes instead of ..."

"I'm going to make this again tonight--for the 4th time since June--because my kids (ages 1.5 and 3 years LOVE it! So do my husband & I. It's easy to make and very tasty. The kids like medium spice but I like it spicier so I add some red pepper flakes or Tabasco to my plateful. I also love that it's gluten free, now that DD can no longer eat g..."

"Excellent taste! I cut the recipe in half since our youngest 2 are small eaters but it still made a very nice amount. I did need to add a bit of extra water...but it helped to cut the saltiness from the ham. Thanks for the note about newer/older rice! Also, I looked for when to add the ham...maybe I'm blind today (not a surprise! but I didn't see..."

"Easy to make--added fresh chopped mushrooms & asperagus just cuz they were on hand. Both my kids and husband loved it--me too! Will make again but double the recipe cuz we like to have leftovers for lunch the next day. We had JUST enough to make the kids "Chicken & Rice--fried rice"! I added 1 beaten egg to the small amount left over & fried it up..."

"Thank you for the quickie recipe! I added in browned hamburger and 1 Table spoon of white vinegar because I like beef in my borscht and a bit more bite. We got beets at the local farmer's market and I roasted them...then just chopped them and added them later with the cabbage. Thanks again!"

"We make this often. I make it with my gluten-free "biscuit" mix because our daughter cannot eat gluten. I usually leave out the tomato paste. We discovered it is very flavorful without it one night when I didn't have any tomato paste & was half way thru making this! It tastes great either way!"

"I just made this for dinner. WOW! Is it ever good! Since I had 2 thawed (raw pork chops in the fridge that needed to be used, I minced them up & added them to the mixture. All I can say is YUM!!! We will be making this A LOT! I did have a substitution to make as our daughter has celiac disease and cannot have the Cr of... soups. I have a glut..."
