"Very yummy recipe. Made it vegetarian by using potatoes and red peppers in place of chicken and omitting the fish sauce. Otherwise, followed the recipe exactly. My picky husband raved (doesn't happen often! over it. Wonderful flavor. Thanks!"

"I have made these several times now and they are really good. I'm always looking for good dairy-free baking recipes and these fit the bill. I use whole-wheat pastry flour, which I find has the tendency to dry things out, so I up the oil to 2 tbsp. Still not a bad amount of oil though. "So far this is the best vegan ice cream I've tried. I made it in my ice cream maker and it came out very nice. Great flavor and very refreshing on a hot summer day. My only problem was that the cornstarch clumped up a bit and I had lots of little bits of cornstarch. Next time I will sift first."
