"Was very good. I made the tzatzki and beef mixture 4 hours prior to eating to let the flavors meld. I also doubled the spices in the meat. Was very good. SO refused to eat the tzatzki, which irritated me to no end as it really makes the dish......oh well was SO's loss and my gain!! Make sure to really WORK the meat and compress tightly to en..."

"YUM! Easy and tasty. I was sure I couldn't make fried chicken but this recipe proved me wrong. I had no potato flakes so just used a bit more flour. I will bump all the seasonings even more next time as I like a lot of seasonings. Thanks Kitten!!"

"Was very good and if you like celery you will like this. I freely admit to being a recipe changer and this was no exception. I sauteed a bit of onion and garlic before adding the celery and broth to simmer. I also added a bit of red pepper flakes as I enjoy some heat. The nutmeg really gives this a comforting flavor. I also think the portions..."

"Yummy comfort food. I halved the recipe and made it in an 8X8 pyrex casserole dish. Smoked gouda is VERY hard to shred by hand even when very cold. I ended up cutting it into very small cubes instead, it doesn't like to melt as well as cheddar either. I used skin on red potatoes and they were perfect. I served with a side of peas. I recommend..."

"Was very good. Like many others I made additions. I added garlic powder, onion flakes, cayenne and sour cream. I used Cabot "Seriously Sharp Cheddar Cheese" but did not use any bread crumb topping. Tasted somewhat similar to Stouffers although this was cheaper and had none of the unknown ingredients added as preservatives. Will make again, tha..."

"EXCELLENT. I love greens and have a challenge figuring out how to cook them. These were perfect and surprisingly crispy. It is REALLY easy to over do the salt so go easy. I omitted the sesame seeds as I don't like them and added extra garlic, was delish!! Would be great as a healthy snack as well. Thanks for posting."

"Tasty, quick and inexpensive whats not to like? Next time I will add some cilantro to the slaw and tomato mix. I couldn't find sticks or fillets so I used the Beer Battered Tenders. Two was a perfect amount for a normal taco sized flour tortilla. Thanks for posting!!"

"I used a bit more meat than called for in the recipe so I ended up with no marinade left over. At the end of the cooking process I used some sherry and soy sauce and then added the cornstarch. It was pretty salty, next time I would probably just use some beef stock instead."

"Ok, so MAYBE, I was a bit harsh on the "Lunch Ladies" back then. LOL. Anyways, this was definitely a Blast From the Past and was sooooo good on a cold night. As my taste buds have evolved I added some garlic powder, thyme and red pepper flakes to the mix. Served over mashed potatoes with the ubiquitous canned green beans. Thanks for a quick, ..."

"Was really good and definitely a blast from the past.....With that said.. I did add one diced jalapeno and used heavy cream instead of milk, also added 1/2 cup cheese to the pasta mixture with another cup of cheese on top. I probably more than doubled the spices too as I have no kids. Seems like it will freeze well. YUMMY Comfort food!!"
