"I cut the recipe in half, and used about 1 1/2 tsp. of pumpkin pie spice, instead of the cinnamon, allspice, and cloves."

"I made chicken strips instead of nuggets, and cooked at the recommended temeperature of 200 degrees Celsius (400 F. I probably added about 1 tsp. of salt, 1/2 tsp. paprika, and 1/4 tsp. pepper to the crumb mixture. Served these with honey/mustard sauce. To round out the meal, served the chicken with white/wild rice and a tossed green salad."

"I used 1 lb of lean ground beef, made the meatballs 1/2 inch, and browned on broiler pan. Two cans of chicken broth plus 2 cans of water, is close to the 5 3/4 cups called for in the recipe. Added 1/2 tsp. dried parsley. Double the recipe if your family loves soup!"

"I omtitted the mushrooms, and used skinless chicken thighs. This was really tasty, but I would recommend using chicken breasts."

"The cake part was excellent, but we did find the topping too sweet for our tastes. I would make the cake again, but replace the topping with a cream cheese frosting"
