Reviewed Diana Sturgis' Curried Cauliflower & Leek Soup

"Excellent! I have been looking for a recipe that does not have any meat products, as I am on a very restricted diet. This soup is so delicious, you would never know it was low calorie; I never messed the little bits of ham as in other recipes. I definitely will make this often! Thank you for sharing your recipe!"

Reviewed Thai Shrimp and Cabbage Stir-Fry (Low Carb)

"Very good and very fast! I added some snow-peas, red bell pepper and pencil asparagus, it was delicious! Thank you for sharing your recipe!"

Reviewed Cuban Black Bean Soup - Uncle Bill's Version

"This was really delicious, a great soup for a cold winter's night. The only thing I changed was, adding 1 oz dark rum, as well as 4 oz sherry wine, - not cooking sherry, - and some hot sauce. It might not be a "true" Cuban black bean soup, but it sure is good!!"

"How nice to find these recipes. I have a friend and neighbor who kept telling me about her Polish grandmother making these for her birthday. But, of course, through all the years, the recipe got lost. Still, the memory of the cookies remained. So as today is my friend's birthday, I made this recipe for her with four different fillings. Not only did..."

    About Me

Having been a professional pastry chef, (I am retired now,) still a very passionate cook at home, I frequently scan through umpteen books and web sites for new ideas, some that I can try out and then share with family and friends. Between the Food Network and Recipezaar, there have been many excellent dinners and and tons of compliments. Thank you for a great sites!

    Favorite Foods

Most of the recipes I prepare are either from Morocco, Greece, Spain, and other Mediterranean counties. I like to live as healthy as possible; the various vegetables and legumes with protein being more of an condiment and less of the main ingredient inspire me. Love, love, love recipes here. Thank you all for posting and making tons of people around the globe very happy!
