    About Me

    I like to eat a little bit of a lot of things, which is to say: Grazing is good.

    The first bite is the most important.

    I am omnivorous.

    Texture matters.

    Chopping and dicing clears my head.

    Making soup is soothing.

    Favorite Foods

    Seafood of any variety, smelly and strong cheese, rare to raw meat (I can't help it!), pickles, cotton candy and toffee apples. Come to think of it, I love all fair food - elephant ears, fried dough, boiled corn, corn dogs, hand cut fries in vinegar. It's all wondrous. I love French food, with it's creams and sauces and rich reductions. I love Japanese food, with the emphasis on seasonal fresh produce and perfect harmony of flavor. I am mad for sashimi. I like it when salmon roe gets caught in the spaces of my teeth, goes *pop* and lets out a tiny burst of pure sea essence. My guilty pleasures are Kraft Mac and Cheese with extra salt, milk and butter, and Reece's Pieces. I like red Jello. The truth of the story is I just love food.
