"Oh my happy tastebuds! I couldn't have been more pleased with this soup. I love soup; I love sausage and lentil soup, and this is my favorite sausage and lentil soup recipe so far.
It makes plenty, and the leftovers reheat very well.
I absolutely will make this again."

    Reviewed Homemade Sausage Seasoning Blend

"So... I needed some Italian sausage to make #195763, but I did not have any. Food.com to the rescue, as it has so many times before.
This blend was absolutely perfect for my needs, and by the time the soup was finished, you literally could not tell that I had used ground beef instead of Italian sausage.
Thank you for posting this. I will mo..."

    Reviewed Copycat Heinz Ketchup

"My family is attempting to use fewer commercially prepared products, so I thought I would give this one a try. I also wanted to be a little more healthful, so I substituted honey for the corn syrup, and reduced the amount to 1/3 cup. Next time, I think I may even reduce the honey to 1/4 cup. The substitution makes this ketchup a little tangier inst..."

"My family is attempting to use fewer commercially prepared items, and I was needing some cocktail sauce for later this evening. I literally just finished making this, and it couldn't have been any easier. It tastes so much fresher and cleaner than the supermarket variety; I can't believe I didn't try making this earlier. I made this using ketchup r..."

    About Me

I'm in my mid thirties, mother of three kids, 2 dogs and a cat. I love to cook as long as I can con someone else into cleaning up my mess. Scrapbooking is a hobby of mine, I wish I had more time for that one.
Update: 5/29/04 My s.o. asked me to marry him! OMG! So, yes, I'm engaged now. I will update this page as the plans move along. :) (giggle)
Update 6/17/04 I have the dress now, here's a picture, but I'm going to try to find a better one, because the gown is REALLY gorgeous http://www.thebridalshop.com/gz43212.htm (this link no longer takes you to a picture of my gown 5/19/05)
Date and location of wedding to follow soon! I'm so excited!
Update 11/9/04 Wow, time flies! My fiance and I were married on October 31, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It was incredible! Hopefully I will be able to post some photos soon; the resort was too beautiful for words! I have updated my name too! :)
Update 5/4/05 Woo hoo! We're having a baby! Okay, yes, we've known for 3 months now; I'm just now getting around to updating this.
We're due October 8 (almost an anniversary gift), and hoping for a girl. Keep your fingers crossed and think pink!
Update 11/30/05 Wow, where does the time go? Lily Jade will be 8 weeks old on Friday. She was born October 7, 2005 at 9:25 AM. She weighed 7 lbs, 9 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. She is the most beautiful baby girl I've ever seen; her daddy and I just cried and cried when she was born. Pictures will follow. For the first three weeks, dad took a picture every time her outfit was changed. We carry the camera in the diaper bag.
Update 4/26/06 Lily is 6 months old. She'll be 7 months old in 11 days. I can't believe how the time is flying. She is sitting by herself, and trying to pull herself up to things and scooting around the floor in reverse. She has her two bottom front teeth coming in, and is the most adorable baby in the world. (unbiased mommy opinion, here). For more pictures of Lily, check out my website. I'll add more as time allows. Ain't she the cutest of the cutes?
Update 10/16/06: Our beautiful little princess turned 1 on the 7th. She's simply the most amazing little girl (imnsho). Lily has been walking for over 2 months now, has 7 teeth and a vocabulary of about 20 words. Yep, she's a baby genius! :)
Update 6/28/07: It seems like only yesterday La Princessa was born, now she is a fiercely independent young lady, who has no qualms in telling you "I do it." Precious, precious girl growing up so fast.
I'm sure it sounds like the other two children in the house are ignored, but my son is 14; no longer cuddly, and possesses a very impressive roller coaster set of emotions. My step son will be 17 in 3 months, so of course he is an "adult" now, and the rest of the household is not worthy of his time or attention. Ahh, teenagers and toddlers, now that's a lovely combination. ;)
I'm also no longer in my "mid" thirties. Yikes, how does this happen?

    Favorite Foods

My favorite foods would be cheese and chocolate, so naturally the ultimate food is chocolate cheesecake.

I love the way food smells. I think as long as it smelled good, I would eat, regardless of what was in it.
Despite it all, my favorite place to go (fast food) is TACO BELL. I can't get enough of that stuff! That's so bad, I know.
