Reviewed The Clockmaker's Caramel Coated Popcorn (A Haunted Recipe)
"Absolutely delicious! Not-too-sweet, like the recipe says. Karo syrup is corn syrup, incidentally. I used the 'regular' kind, not light, or dark."

Reviewed 5 Cup Pecan Pie
"This was stunning! I was nervous about using an untested recipe for Christmas dinner, but I was not disappointed! I ended up using a 1.5QT casserole dish, and it was the perfect size. There`s a lot of pecans! Even my "What do you mean we aren't using my family's traditional recipe?!?" husband enjoyed it!"

Shared Recipe Vineterta (Vienna Torte)
Jan 5, 2012 on Food.com
I'm a mother, wife, web designer, and general geek. Love costume design, knitting, and, of course, cooking.
I cook from scratch, whenever I can. Not a fan of pre-packaged foods. I cook with organics when I can, but my budget doesn't allow for much.
Some of my most famous dishes I cook are scalloped potatoes, veggie chili (even confirmed carnivores don't know there's no meat in it!!), tuna casserole, pot roast.
I love my crock pot, it's a huge convenience and when I'm working all day, I can walk in the door to food all ready to serve!
My favourite restaurant... well I have a hard time choosing. Hy's for steak, I've never had one better. Sun Fortune on Pembina Hwy for Szechuan... since Vivere's closed I'm going to have to do a lot of taste testing to find my new favourite Italian place.
Oh! Nucci's Gelati on Corydon Ave. Best in the WORLD!

"In Manitoba, where I live, there is a significant population of Icelandic heritage. Thus, this recipe is a popular one on dainty trays in my area.
Here is the story of Vineterta as told by my mother's recipe book, "Through the Years", from the Selkirk Ladies Hospital Auxiliary (1982):
"Vineterte is known to us as an Icelandic Cake., sine it wa..."
