Shared Recipe Quick & Easy Green Beans With Feta

"Great side dish to pair with gyros. Can be served hot, room temp, or cold - which also makes it nice for potlucks."

Shared Recipe (Sneaky) Creamy Pasta Sauce

"Because sometimes when it comes to veggies stealth-mode is just easier on everyone! From the kitchen of one of my recipe swap groupies."

    Reviewed Baked Oatmeal

"Wonderful even with the sugar cut back to 1/3 cup. Very flexible base recipe. 1) It can be easily doubled and cooked in a 9x13 or even tripled and cooked in an 11x15. 2) The slices freeze and reheat beautifully. 3) Just SOME of the alternative versions include:

Shared Recipe Peaches (Or Other Fruit) and Cream Casserole

"Somewhere between a fruited oatmeal and a breakfast casserole. If you use cow's milk, make sure it is 2% or less since this is a crockpot recipe or you'll risk curdling."

Shared Recipe Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu

"Aquired this through a recipe swap and love that it doesn't use canned soup like the others I've seen. Prep the chicken bundles the night before and you'll be out the door in no time in the morning."

Reviewed Homemade White Cake Mix (Subtitute 18.25oz Betty Crocker Box)

"I try to avoid prepackaged foods for the very reasons mentioned in the recipe intro. Used this in Recipe#169257 and it worked beautifully. Thanks for posting!"

Reviewed Strawberry Cake With Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting

"My youngest's birthday request was strawberry cupcakes with strawberry frosting. Left out the coconut and nuts do to allergies among some classmates then halved the frosting and got 36 wonderful cupcakes."

Shared Recipe Homemade Substitutes for Condensed Soups

"We’ve really been trying to avoid GMOs in my family. That tends to mean very few prepackaged foods unless they are organic. Organic condensed soup runs $2-3 a pop, which is LUDICROUS to me! So I came here (of course) and found Recipe#278160. These are my easier, lower fat versions."

    About Me

I love music and I love food.  Crank the kitchen radio up and I'm a happy lady.

I totally live by my Oma's credo of: Forget about dusting because it'll be back in three days.  Enjoy your kids instead because you can never get back moments you've lost. [Although sometimes it's good to dust with your kids. =)]

I'm also of the belief that sometimes it's good to NOT be with your kids.  Date nights, both with the hubs and the girls, are essential.

    Favorite Foods

I enjoy food of all sorts.  Comforting, homey stuff like stew or beans and cornbread.  Insanely delicious stuff like oysters rockefeller or my mom's herb crusted pork tenderloin with bearnaise.   Fresh, healthy stuff from my hubby's garden.

That being said, what I'm best known for are my desserts.  Cookies & cakes, pudding & pies, trifles & tarts - I am the SweetsLady.
