    About Me

    I am blessed with a wonderful daughter and three amazing grand kids. I have a 17 year old grandson, and a 13 and 3 year old granddaughters. I am very close to my family and since I am self-employed see them quite often.

    My favorite things to do are cook, read, spend time with my family, church events and friends. I have recently been working on a healthier life and have lost approximately 50 pounds. I would like to lose about 20 more. In order to make this work I am now working out at the gym two or three times a week. Naturally, my cooking has changed....at least for the everyday things.

    I love cookbooks by Ina Garten and Bobby Flay. One of my favorite TV shows is Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. One of the best things to do is read cookbooks, even if I'm not going to cook anything. My daughter and sister think I'm crazy, but my niece loves reading them too.

    Favorite Foods

    There are too many to list. I like savory things a little more than sweets unless you are talking chocolate. I am definitely not a vegan, love meat but mostly now it's chicken in it's many forms.

    One of my favorite Christmas things is a Wine Cake that my family always asks for no matter what.

    With my new lifestyle I'm doing a lot more lite recipes and some are great and some won't happen again. Love Cooking Light and Weight Watchers for recipes that work for me now.
