    About Me

I work at an international school and we need to bring our lunch to school each day. Rather than eat out so much I want to make more of my own food! I inherited my love of cooking from my dad, who makes elaborate meals just about every night after work. It's gotten to the point where it's relaxing and fun for me too. I want to make lots of things! I'm also going to get married in about a year, and by that time I want to have lots of recipes in line to impress my guy :)

    Favorite Foods

I like cake, and am floored on a daily basis by the lovely presentation and taste of the ones offered in Japanese cake shops. I also like cooking with chicken. Don't know about famous, but in my family I inherited my grandmother's huckleberry cake recipe, and apparently I'm the only one who makes it right! Favorite restaurant is tough...I like too many different kinds of food! Back home I like Pat's of Henderson Seafood and Steakhouse--they are truly amazing. In Japan, I like Nataraj curry in Umeda and the Afternoon Tea cafe chain. Their menu changes by the season and I always look forward to what's next!
