    About Me

Stay at home mom for the last 22 years. My daughter is in her fourth year at Texas A&M. I have a 15 yr. old son, also. I work with our family owned business doing part-time book work. I have so many cookbooks I've run out of places to store them. My daugher has finally gotten interested in cooking now that she's on her own and has started stealing my cookbooks! I love the Taste of Home series and a favorite cookbook is Typically Texas II. I love the LORD! And I also love teaching the two year olds in bible class. They appreciate the cookies I bake!

    Favorite Foods

I love to cook almost anything. Mostly, I love to cook what I know will make my family/friends happy. Each friend that comes (male and female)has a favorite like Carmel Turtle brownies or buttered potatoes with onion and bacon, etc. They always feel so special when they see their favorite on the table. It motivates me to cook! My husband is a sweetie and is so appreciative of anything, but, loves my Sweet Potatoe pie. We love seafood and our favorite restaurant is Pappadauex's Seafood and breakfast at Cracker Barrel. MY favortie thing to cook is desserts and I don't cook anykind of sweet thing without using Watkin's Vanilla Nut extract. I have it shipped to me. You'll never go back to just plain ole' vanilla! It does amazing things to chocolate!! I also enjoy making my kids favorites - Squash Dressing and Taco Ring.
