I am a mother to two precious little boys who are 10 and 3. They love to help me cook in the kitchen. My 10-year-old enjoys all of the chopping and mixing, while my 3-year-old wants to do all of the measuring. Cooking together is our way of bonding. By profession, I am a school psychologist and enjoy traveling, dancing, learning new languages, sports and music.
My parents are originally from India; I have been fortunate to have been raised in a family where cooking is seen as a talent and a blessing. In addition to traveling to the Middle East and having friends from all around the world, I am very interested in what other people are eating, as for that person, the food that they were born and raised with is the most delicious food on earth.
I am always looking for opportunities to try any kind of ethnic cuisine and try to encourage others to try new foods as well. My pantry is like a small spice store with spices and condiments from all over the world. My favorite foods are American South/Indian, and Brazilian. I also love Thai green papaya salad and baklava!
