    About Me

Hi, I'm a Wife and Mom of three girls ranging in age from 9 to 16. Two of my daughters have special needs, so life is never dull! We live in Michigan in a very rural area near the lake (lots of farmland and fishermen). My husband and I own a copywriting business and I am a food writer and blogger.

I have a degree in culinary arts and love to entertain and cook. I'm constantly creating and searching for new and improved recipes to try out on our friends or on my blog.

We spend a lot of time traveling and camping in the summer. Being self employed writers allows us to spend all sorts of time together and we really enjoy having the girls home all summer. We try to spend as much time as possible in the beautiful Michigan woods.

    Favorite Foods

I love Italian food and have a healthy obsession with Asian dishes as well. My first ebook was a Chinese New Year cookbook and is available for a free download at my blog (www.angiespangies.com).

I also like to put together appetizers and full menus. I'm a whiz with dishes that are beneficial to diabetics (two of my close friends and my step-Dad are diet controlled diabetics - so I'm always watching my menu choices when entertaining). Also, one of my daughters used to be allergic to soy, eggs and wheat - so I am fairly adept at "sub-ing" in for these allergy restrictions. Some of my famous dishes include; pumpkin pie, coconut cream pie, potato soup and chili. I make a killer taco dip and my baked white cheese dip is a gluten free, lo-carb and diabetic delight!
