    About Me

    I am an admitted cookbook addict, I love collecting old church and community cookbooks from all regions of the country. I think you learn so much about people and their history through the things they cook. I read them at night before bed like most people read
    I married the most wonderful man in the world in November of 2004, but it took until January of 2006 to complete the process of importing him in from Canada.

    Favorite Foods

    I just love to me there is nothing more satisfying than seeing family and friends smiling and laughing across the table from one another. I am one of these cooks who walks in the kitchen and pulls things out of the fridge and pantry and sees what it turns out to be.. I was born and raised here in the south so I think pintos, collards and cornbread are in my blood. I love about anything, but I have had to learn new methods of preparation and alternatives to certain things due to the dietary needs of those I cook for. My father is diabetic and on a low sodium diet too..and my new husband is highly allergic to garlic, so this ole gal has had to get creative from time to time! I have really been enjoying all the things here at the Zaar and I am looking forward to learning more and more as time goes on :-)
