    About Me

I teach junior high social studies. My students like it when I bring some kind of food from another country for them to try. Even more, they like it when I actuallly cook in the room. Slow cookers- a wonderful invention.

I enjoy cooking and trying new foods. I espcially like using fresh herbs from my herb bed. In addition to my herb garden, I also enjoy working in my large, 1 acre, garden with my dad. We enjoy fresh produce all summer and fall.

When the weather allows I like to cook outdoors. Since I teach ancient cultures, it is fun to try ancient cooking methods from time to time.

One day I hope to ride my gas sipping 250 Virago along the Louisiana part of the Mississippi, following the route Alton Brown took on Feasting on Asphalt. With a bigger bike, I'd like to do the whole shebang.

    Favorite Foods

Favorite food? Ummm... most of them? There are few foods I just won't try. Generally ones that are still moving or giving me the eye.

I am famous for trying new dishes. My family (Mom, Dad, brother, daughter) are my usually willing guinea pigs.

My favorite restaurant is a Japanese place in the next town called Ronin. Great sushi and hibache (probably misspelled that.) Undecided
