    Reviewed Light Cinnamon Coffee Cake

"I just made this coffee cake and it's delicious. I added a little vanilla, used less salt, and more melted butter to the topping mixture. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I thought it might have been a wee bit better with half the batter spread in the pan, then topping mixture, and then the rest of the batter and more topping..."

    Reviewed Tuscan Lemon Chicken

"A-ma-zing!!! Since I had no plans for the long weekend, I decided I wanted my meals to be fitting Memorial Day w/e meals. I had legs & thighs, and breast pieces from a whole chicken I had just cut up. I made this wonderful marinade. I had that done before 10 a.m., so the chicken was marinating all day until 7:30 when I put it on the grill. I don'"

"Delicious!!! I apologize if something similar from me also posted. I posted originally that I was going to try it, not realizing we can only comment if we've tried the recipe. Now I have! I want to thank "njmich" whose comment convinced me to try this one. I've basically been a veggie hater most of my life. In the last few years as part of my ""

    Reviewed Mom's Turkey Meatloaf

"Except for the oatmeal, it's almost exactly as mom made it when she made it with beef. Now that I rarely use ground beef, I make my meatloaf with ground turkey. I know this is delicious because I've made it long before I saw this recipe, only using crumbled ww bread or even softened stuffing mix. I'd like to try the oats, but I never have the f""

    About Me

I've always loved to cook and put the heart into it that I learned from my mother.  Oddly, now that I'm 60-something, an empty nester and single, I enjoy cooking even more.  I think I can honestly say that I have moved up to the ranks of "foodie".  My daughter, a graphic designer and super foodie, even has a food resume, has taught cooking classes for a restaurant that specializes in group gatherings, and does design work for the owner on an ongoing basis.

She was also an executive chef for a night at a French restaurant owned by a friend/chef who was ill, and had a large group to prepare duck and other impressive sides and sauces for.  Not a small feat for a vegetarian!  My son was a prep chef and sous chef all through college at a restaurant near school.  He also loves to cook.  It's in our blood, I guess.
