    About Me

    I enjoy cooking as a hobby because of the fun, hands-on work it involves and also the wonderful aromas you get as you anticipate the final product. My main focus is on baking cakes, slices, cookies, brownies etc.. since I can take the time to enjoy myself :)

    As you may not know, I am quite a novice cook (or should I say baker) and am always on the lookout for valuable tips and advice - which explains my tendency to collect a lot of cookbooks! So if you would like to share anything, feel free to message me here - I'll be quite grateful.

    I just love searching for tried-and-true recipes, recipes from other countries and also the more healthy options. Perhaps one day, when I'm less clueless about how something should be cooked and which flavours pair together, I'll be able to contribute some recipes of my own for others to try out :)

    Favorite Foods

    I have lots of favourite foods, actually.....

    For sweets, I could live on coconut, hazelnut, pandan rice cakes (from Malaysia), pineapples!!!!! and basically any fruit.

    For savouries, I enjoy foods with fiery chilli, squid!!!!, plenty of fresh vegetables, lamb, fresh salmon, sushi and Vietnamese rice paper wraps. (best invention ever!!)

    I don't really have a favourite dish to cook, since I usually spend my time mixing batter together and pulling a cake/tray out of the oven. I would really like to spend more time putting together easy, savoury meals - to get some practice and to make sure the family actually enjoys eating my novice creation >-<
