I am a stay at home mom, and military spouse. My husband and I have been married for 11 years, and he's been in the military for 13 or 14 years (i've lost track:) I have a 7 year old and an 3 year old. My oldest, Paige, is an LT although she's almost caught up to her peers. She's in first grade and learning to read. My youngest, Miya, has crazy energy, which is great for staying home all day and making me crazy. One pot meals that can be prepared in the morning and cooked quickly at night are my best friend.
I really do love to cook. Although a simple recipe will get my attention much faster than a recipe that needs 20 ingredients. Half my family are picky eaters (the kids) the other half like to eat all different stuff. Right now we're stationed at the bottom of New Mexico, and the town next to us is so tiny, eating out isn't that much fun. I can't wait till we get moved...our next stop is a base in Texas....not so patiently waiting.
Bases we've been to so far:
Camp Pendleton, California
Little Rock AFB, Arkansas
Holloman AFB, New Mexico
Number of deployments: 14...thats 5 years total.
I love chinese food. So i'm always trying the chinese recipes i find. And have found quite a few really good ones.
my favorite meal has got to be crockpot pot roast.
I really love lemon flavored desserts. So we've been trying those a lot lately.
